DuPage Children's Museum

Today we went to the DuPage Children's Museum
You can't tell what this is, but it is a room that is very dark (my camera turns is to normal). You push a button to have a light flash and then you can see your shadow on the wall. The kids enjoyed putting themselves into many poses.
In this room you change the lights and it casts a different color or colors on the "wall"; from the other side all you can see is their shadow of colors.

The music room is very loud! But it is very neat... Beth is playing long screws and the closer picture is wrenches. Kyle is hitting a traditions xylophone made of wood.

The favorite place... the water table. They were trying many different ways to get the water from one place to another by using connecting pieces, tubes, and caps.
As you can see... they loved it.
These sticks actually glow so the pictures aren't a neat as the real thing. (to get a glowing picture I have to settle for no child, and I wanted the artist in the picture) From the opposite side the colors look a little different from the color the sticks are... very neat.

And last but not least, are the microscopes. They looked at gnats, butterfly wings, dragonfly wings, praying mantis wings, moth scales, feathers, and more! The upstairs has changed a lot since we were there last time and it is more science and math related...I liked it much better.

The "Argument"

My kids have been having an "argument" the past several day.

It goes something like this:

Child 1: My teacher is better than your teacher.

Child 2: No way, I have the best teacher.

and this continues on a few rounds and then they ask me my opinion!

I honestly think I have the best kids, but I didn't want to start another "argument". ;)

7th Anniversary Sunday!!

Today was great!!! It was a wonderful day with beautiful weather, yummy food, and lots of time with the church family! I really love our church; it really is like being with family. I loved the fact we had evening service in the park, it made the day even more special. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all the people that worked hard to plan, bring a dish, and worked before, during, and after!! We have so many wonderful people that are willing to work; it is such a blessing.
I took lots of pictures, so here are a few.

Is Time Moving Faster????

Well hello everyone!

Sorry it has been such a long time since I have posted. I just don't seem to have my act together lately. The days are going by so fast, I just can't believe it.

We have been busy with our school days (we are already on week 6!) and within the last week or so we have all gone to the dentist; I have gone twice, and now we have added the doctor to the list.

Beth has strep again...crazy since she had her tonsils out to prevent this. She had been feeling "not right" all week, but nothing that would be enough to go to the doctor, except the list of symptoms just kept going:
dizzy
headache
stomach hurts
ears hurt
throat hurts (but by no means "painful")
tired
vomits in a "not-sick-sort-of-way"
and food tastes funny

Well, I am off to get breakfast ready and get our school day going. Have a great day!

Today was so nice

Church was wonderful. I got to talk to my Mom for about 30 minutes. Jim made dinner. Jim did all the dishes from dinner. And on top of all that it was a beautiful day!!

Wonderful Day

Today was SO fun; I always love the ladies activities! The chocolate fountain was so neat! Mrs. Lapina gave such a good truth; she helped me rethink some areas where I need to work on the "peace" in my life. I took lots of pictures and we even got a special appearance by none other than Hayden; so cute and so tiny!

Dates

Well, I have been really enjoying our dates lately, the past three times we have been shopping! And not only are we shopping, but we are shopping for ME. Tonight I got two dresses and two shirts from JCPenney's. I plan on wearing one of them tomorrow. We have also gone out to dinner after two of these night, so I am really feeling spoiled...and now I am going to look it too.

My Sweet Husband

I just wanted you all to see what was delivered to my door today. The best thing is that they not for anything special... except that he loves me.
