Today was GREAT!
We had a really good first day. I decorated the kitchen with streamers and make a "welcome back" sign, then we shot off some poppers....figured we start this year off with a BANG!!
I made their favorite dinner for lunch and got them some Little Debbie snack cakes. And then to top it off we went out and played in the pool.
Oh, between all this we did do our lessons for the day, and I think they both did a wonderful job. I said to Kyle after all this I thought this was our best first day and he agreed!

That is such a great idea!!! Maybe all make our first day of school at our house a party too.

08-19-08-After the successful first-day-of-school here, ALL DeSoto schools, ALL gov't buildings are clossed due to the possibility that TropicalStormFay might make land as a Category 1 hurricane.
